Witches Brew Soup (Thanks to Aunt Julie)


We took Gentry's VW to the store to gather our recipe items. On the way home we stopped by Cierra's pumpkin patch. You probably are wondering where is this Cierra person? Just wait til October comes.



These are the item you'll need for our soup and a soup pot of your choice.

STEP 1
On medium heat, melt butter and sauté the onion to caramelize. Then, add chopped carrots, garlic, salt and pepper, cumin, can of chiles and chicken bouillon. Cook for 10 minutes on Medium. Stir Occasionally.


 
These 2 items are secrets to the taste. Our favorites! You don't have to use these, you can find your own brand favorites.
The Cream of Chicken with Herbs will be added in the next step and this is Shalana's favorite addition for flavor. 
STEP 2
Keep the heat on Medium and add cream of chicken with herbs, cans of (drained) chicken and a dash of ground red pepper(cayenne)-optional- 
Simmer for 10minutes while stirring occasionally.   

STEP 3
Drain beans in a colander and rinse with cold water and add to the pot. Then add 3 cans of chicken broth, can of (drained) corn and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil while stirring. 
Your soup is done!
Before serving, add 1 cup of heavy whipping cream to thicken.

Here are our favorite soup toppings! Salt and Pepper to taste, a sliced avocado, grated cheese, cilantro, chives, sour cream (we love ricotta) 
All of these are great additions to your bowl of soup,
 You choose to your liking.

A fun little tip 
~ With the extra cilantro you'll be storing in your fridge ~
 Keep it fresh by placing it in a glass of cold water. It will also make the inside of your fridge pretty.
