Choose a project big or small. Even as simple as the following
-Fresh coat of paint on,
-Baseboards
-Front door
-Back door
-Pantry door
-A chair
You can always paint a decor item like a corbel, frame, mirror or baskets.
Spring time is also a great time to reorganize and refresh!
-Deep clean your home
-Buy a fern for your kitchen to sit in the window with the spring sunshine
-Make a banner with spring colors
-Create a wreath for your front door for Easter
-Add new pillows,
-New lampshade
-Find a new duvet cover for your bedroom
-New towels for your bathroom
Or maybe just buy some new spring jammies! It's the simple things that make a difference.
Gentry chose to do a medium size project
Here are the BEFORE pictures of her Bathroom.
-BATHROOM BEFORE- |
The bathroom project started Friday evening and was finished Sunday afternoon.
When Gentry and Zak first moved into their little home they painted every room the same color
(French Linen by Sherwin Williams)
After 12 months Gentry decided the tiny space needed to be a crisp white to brighten it up!
-Walls and boards painted "Simply White" by Benjamin Moore
-A texture technique called "Board and Batten" was added to the walls as seen in the pics above.
-Dental molding was added to the existing molding above the window. (little squares like style)
-Gold sleek handles (from Lowes) were added to the cabinets doors and drawers.
-The color of the cabinet above the toilet and vanity with mirror is called
"Gauntlet Gray" by Sherwin Williams.
-A farmhouse style door was created by Gentry's husband to hide the shelves below the window.
-New black and white pok-a-dot rugs
-And new towels to add the finishing touch!
-Fresh floral drawer liners
-Plant in the window is from IKEA
ENJOY THE AFTER PICS BELOW!
